Art & Soul - A Concert in Honor of Dave Hunter

Art & Soul: A Concert In Honor of Dave Hunter

featuring Steve Kimock & Friends and ZERO with MC Wavy Gravy

Please join us on Friday, May 12th at the Great American Music Hall as Steve Kimock & Friends, featuring Steve Kimock, Jeff Chimenti, Bobby Vega, JMMY Kimock, Leslie Mendelson, and ZERO plus very special guests take the stage to celebrate Dave, his work, and the music he loves.

Starting his career in the 80’s, Dave worked with Rock and Roll legend Bill Graham & fellow poster artist icon Rick Griffin. He helped organize and install rock poster shows at the Psychedelic Shop while also supporting The Artists Rights Now movement in San Francisco. You will know him best by his body of work spanning over 20 years, where he developed a unique hand silk screening technique called Gammalyte.

The powerful magic of Dave’s art has touched the hearts of many musicians around the world such as Eric Clapton, Carlos Santana, Metallica, Moonalice, Dr. John, Les Claypool, The Decemberists, The Neville Brothers, and more recently for The Grateful Dead’s 50th anniversary shows as well as Dead & Company. He’s also created event posters for Hardly Strictly Bluegrass, The Rock Poster Society (TRPS) and multiple SEVA FOUNDATION benefits.

Wavy Gravy will be coming as our special emcee for the evening.

Divine and illuminating visuals will be by artist Johnathan Singer.

There will be a silent auction and a poster art show brought to you by The Rock Poster Society (TRPS)
